Misty Ridge Housing Co-op (MRHC) is an award winning 70-unit townhouse complex located in a beautiful six-acre park like setting on the south slope of Burnaby Mountain.
MRHC is in Burnaby’s Forest Grove Drive neighbourhood — on the south side of Burnaby Mountain.
There are two elementary schools and one high school within walking distance (Forest Grove elementary, Stoney Creek elementary and Burnaby Mountain high school).
Many grocery stores, Cameron Recreation Centre and Lougheed mall are approx. a five-minute drive or 2o-minute walk away.
Production Way SkyTrain station is also a five-minute drive or 20-minute walk away. There’s also a bus that runs to and from the station every 30 minutes.
With respect and humility, we acknowledge that our co-op is situated on the ancestral and never surrendered lands of the Coast Salish Peoples. Including the Kwikwetlem, səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Qayqayt, Stz’uminus, Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam) First Nations.
MRHC was built in 1986, with the first members moving in in 1987. All units are three level townhomes. Unfortunately, there are no accessible units currently.
There are:
- 18 — 2-bedroom units
- 36 — 3-bedroom units
- 18 — 4-bedroom units
Each unit has a private entrance, laminate flooring, a fridge and stove, and space for a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Four-bedroom units have an extra powder room in the basement level.
MRHC has a multi-purpose Community Hall with a kitchen and laundry room. There are also two playgrounds, a basketball court and plenty of green space with room to grow.
